Do I need a bridge or gateway to connect my Homekit device to the blinds?

The Homekit Thread motor must have another Apple device that supports thread as the home hub, such as HomePod 2nd generation, HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K 2nd or 3rd generation.

Is the Homekit motor compatible with all Homekit devices?

To enhance device connectivity, thread technology was specifically designed for smart home applications. You can leverage the Thread Border Router feature present in your HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K (2nd generation / 3rd generation 128 GB) for optimal performance.
